Terms and Conditions
The conditions that govern the transport services we provide.
1. Who we are
These terms govern the transport services provided by Mastro GR Travel S.r.l., trading as Bus In Sorrento, with registered office at Via Nuova Sant’Andrea 11, 80063 Piano di Sorrento (NA), Italy, VAT IT10176361219, referred to below as the Company, we or us.
2. What we do and what we do not do
We provide passenger transport with driver, noleggio con conducente, and coach hire with driver. We are not a tour operator and we do not sell package travel. Entrance tickets, licensed guides, ferry and hydrofoil tickets, boat services and skippers, restaurants and any other service not consisting of road transport are supplied by third parties. Where we arrange any of these on your behalf, we act as an intermediary: the service itself is governed by the terms and conditions of the supplier providing it, and their liability is their own.
Our drivers are professional drivers. Under Italian law they are not authorised to act as tourist guides inside museums, archaeological sites or monuments. Licensed guides can be arranged on request and are charged separately.
3. Vehicles, capacity and access restrictions
- The vehicle class is allocated according to the number of passengers, the volume of luggage, the itinerary and the access restrictions in force at the locations involved. Where a booking involves more passengers than a single suitable vehicle can carry, or an itinerary that a larger vehicle cannot operate, the service is operated with two or more vehicles.
- Several locations we serve apply restrictions based on vehicle category and length. These include, among others, the Amalfi Coast road and Positano, the Vesuvius access road, the historic centre of Naples, and Sorrento port.
- Where a restriction affects your itinerary, we state in the quotation which vehicle configuration we will use and, where applicable, the alternative drop-off and pick-up points and any walking involved.
4. Quotes and booking
- Prices shown on this website are indicative starting prices, per vehicle, and are not binding offers. They are a guide to help you plan.
- A binding price exists only in the written quote we send you. The validity period of each quotation is stated in the quotation itself.
- A booking is confirmed only when we send you a written confirmation stating service, date, time, pickup point, vehicle and price.
- It is your responsibility to check that the confirmation matches what you intended, and to tell us immediately if it does not.
5. Prices and what they include
- Unless stated otherwise, prices are per vehicle, not per person, and include VAT at the applicable rate.
- Fuel, motorway tolls, vehicle costs, driver costs and insurance are included in the agreed price for the agreed itinerary.
- Parking, ZTL permits, municipal access fees, destination-specific access charges, checkpoints, additional drivers, overnight and night-time supplements, waiting time beyond the agreed allowance, additional stops and shuttle services are not included in the base price. Neither are entrance tickets, guides, meals, ferries and gratuities. Where any of these apply to your service, they are stated in the quotation before you confirm.
- Changes requested after confirmation, extra stops, extended hours, a different route, may change the price. Any variation is agreed with you before it is applied. We do not add charges silently.
- Waiting time beyond the free period stated in your confirmation is charged at the hourly rate in the quote.
6. Payment
For new clients, a 50% deposit is normally required to confirm the booking. The balance is due before the service, unless otherwise agreed in writing. Different payment terms may apply to established clients and to approved partner accounts, and are stated in the relevant quotation or booking confirmation.
Accepted payment methods and any applicable transaction costs are stated in the quotation.
7. Cancellation by you
- Cancellation charges are calculated against the scheduled pickup time stated in the booking confirmation.
- More than 72 hours before the scheduled service: no cancellation charge, and full refund of any amount already paid.
- Between 72 and 48 hours before the scheduled service: 50% of the agreed service price.
- Less than 48 hours before the scheduled service: 100% of the agreed service price, and no refund is due. In case of no-show, 100% of the agreed service price is charged.
- Cancellations must be sent in writing to info@businsorrento.com and are effective when we acknowledge receipt.
- Different cancellation conditions may apply to group bookings, multi-day services, weddings, events, peak-period bookings and services requiring multiple vehicles. Any different conditions are always stated in the quotation or in the booking confirmation, before the booking is confirmed.
8. Cancellation or changes by us
- If we cannot provide the service for reasons attributable to us, we offer an equivalent alternative or a full refund. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
- We may substitute a vehicle of equal or greater capacity and standard for technical or operational reasons, without changing the price. Where a substitution changes anything material to your service, we tell you before departure.
- Itineraries may be modified where necessary for safety, road closures, traffic restrictions, adverse weather, site closures or orders of the competent authorities. Where possible we agree changes with you; where it is not possible, the driver decides and explains why.
9. Delays, waiting and no shows
- Airport and port pickups: we monitor your flight or vessel and adapt. 60 minutes of free waiting from actual landing or docking are included.
- Other pickups: 15 minutes of free waiting from the agreed time.
- If you do not appear at the agreed point within 45 minutes of the agreed time without contacting us, the service is treated as a no show under clause 7.
- We are not liable for delays caused by traffic, weather, road works, strikes, demonstrations, port or airport operations, or any other cause outside our control. We plan itineraries with a safety margin, in particular for flights and cruise departures, but we cannot guarantee arrival times and we recommend you allow your own margin as well.
10. Luggage
- Luggage capacity must be declared at the time of booking. The vehicle is assigned on the basis of the passengers and luggage you declare.
- We may refuse luggage that exceeds the declared quantity or the capacity of the vehicle, or that cannot be carried safely.
- Luggage travels at the risk of the owner. We recommend you carry valuables, documents and medication with you in the passenger compartment.
- Sports equipment, musical instruments and oversize items must be declared in advance and may require a different vehicle.
11. Passengers
- Child seats are provided free of charge on request and must be requested in advance. Italian law requires appropriate restraint systems for children under 150 cm; we cannot carry a child without one.
- Smoking, including electronic cigarettes, is not permitted on board.
- Food and drink on board are subject to the agreement of the driver. Cleaning costs caused by improper use, and any damage to the vehicle, are charged to the client.
- The driver may refuse to begin or continue a service where the conduct of a passenger endangers safety, or where the number of passengers exceeds the licensed capacity of the vehicle. No refund is due in those circumstances.
- Accessibility: please tell us in advance about reduced mobility, wheelchairs or assistance animals so that we can assign a suitable vehicle. Some destinations on the Amalfi Coast are not accessible by vehicle and we will say so honestly before you book.
12. Liability
- The Company holds compulsory third party liability insurance in accordance with Italian law, with cover up to [cover amount].
- The Company is liable for damage attributable to the transport service in accordance with applicable law. It is not liable for services provided by third parties, guides, sites, ferries, restaurants, for the closure of sites or attractions, for events of force majeure, or for the consequences of information provided incorrectly or incompletely by the client.
- Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
13. Force majeure
Neither party is liable for failure to perform caused by events beyond reasonable control, including natural events, volcanic and seismic activity, extreme weather, strikes, blockades, acts of authority, health emergencies and traffic restrictions imposed by the competent authorities.
14. Complaints
Complaints should be sent to info@businsorrento.com within 30 days of the service, with the booking reference. We undertake to reply within 15 days.
15. Personal data
Personal data are processed as described in our Privacy Policy, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679.
16. Applicable law and disputes
- These terms are governed by Italian law.
- For consumers, the competent court is that of the place of residence or domicile of the consumer, in accordance with the Italian Consumer Code.
- For business clients, agencies, tour operators and companies, the competent court is that of [Torre Annunziata].
- If you are not satisfied with our service, please contact us first: most matters are resolved directly.
