Bus In Sorrento and Mastro GR Travel: one company, two names
The name on the vehicle and the name on the invoice. Here’s why they’re different, and who’s behind both.
The two names
The name on the vehicles
The company on the invoice
Most of our guests know us as Bus In Sorrento. That’s the name on the website, on the vehicles and in the reviews.
Mastro GR Travel S.r.l. is the company: the one that holds the licences, employs the drivers, owns the vehicles and issues your invoice. Same people, same office in Piano di Sorrento, same telephone number since the beginning.
You’ll also come across Sorrento Coach, which is how we present the premium and corporate side of the business to travel professionals. Three names, one family, one fleet.
We spell this out because in this business it’s not always the case. Plenty of websites are a trading name over a broker who owns nothing and drives nothing. When you book with Bus In Sorrento, the vehicle that arrives is ours and the driver is our employee. That’s the whole reason for saying it out loud.

Since 2002
The family has been moving people around this peninsula for three generations. Mastro GR Travel was founded in 2002, and today the third generation is at work: in the office, on the road, and on the phone at seven in the morning when a flight is delayed.
Two decades on the same forty kilometres of coast teaches you things that don’t fit in a brochure: which road closes when it rains, which hotel needs a shuttle from the car park, which restaurant in Amalfi still cooks for locals in August. That’s what you’re actually buying.

Generations of the same family at work
Of coast we know bend by bend
It’s the one thing on this website that no competitor can copy, and the one line we can’t finish until the family tells us the year, the first vehicle and the name of the grandfather who bought it.
What we care about
Turning up
Early, with the right vehicle, with your name spelled correctly on the sign. It sounds like a low bar until it goes wrong.
Saying what things cost
One price, in writing, with what’s included and what’s not. No meters, no end of day surprises, no surcharge for a card payment.
Being honest about what won’t work
If a day is too full, if the Blue Grotto is closed, if a coach can’t reach your hotel, we say so before you book. It costs us occasional bookings and it saves everyone the bad version of the day.
